Volunteer with the Ascend program by helping people overcome pornography through facilitating a small group and/or becoming an accountability partner.
Facilitator
Facilitators for Ascend Groups are responsible for facilitating weekly calls of 60 – 90 minutes with 3 to 5 participants who are working on their sexual integrity. The commitment is one Quarter or 12 weeks, after which we ask that you sign up again for the following Quarter.
Responsibilities
- Guide the group call once a week
- Find a replacement (either a group member or another facilitator) to lead the call if you will be absent.
- Share with the staff about their group members

- Write check-in forms every week
- Participate in the Ascend Volunteers Event every month
Accountability Partner
Accountability partners (AP) are responsible for keeping a participant accountable to their goals and action steps in a one-to-one relationship. The commitment is 3 months, after which we ask the the AP and the participant to renew their commitment.
Responsibilities
- Check-in with their accountability partner every day or week (depending on the agreement made)
- Participate in the accountability support call
